MANAGEMENT INFORMATION CONSULTANT (MIS) (EE) Rondebosch, Cape Town

Korbitec has a vacancy for a MIS Consultant – the role will entail compiling and distributing reports, as well as the management of data and information. The MIS Consultant ensures the availability and quality of data and reports required for the management of individual, team and company activities. This information will also be distributed to other employees and members of management. The MIS Consultant will also look for ways to reduce time delays due to labour intensive manual activities and provide insight into information produced.

The goal of the MIS Consultant is to provide management with an adequate decision support system by providing information that is timely, accurate, consistent, complete and relevant thereby allowing management to make sound business decisions and enhancing job performance and service levels throughout the company. You will report to the CRMS & MIS Manager and be based in Great Westerford, Cape Town

Your responsibilities will include:
     •    Report and Data management
     •    Dealing directly with staff and management in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner
     •    Acquire and maintain knowledge of processes, products and services so as to produce timeous, accurate and relevant information for staff, management and customers
     •    Participation in team projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of CSC and Korbitec service
     •    Learn to utilise all reporting software currently in use in the CSC
     •    Provide insight into information released

Requirements: (Applicants that do not meet the essential requirements need not apply)
     •    Minimum of 2 year’s experience:
              1. Database concepts essential
              2. Writing SQL queries essential
              3. Working in an IT / Support environment essential
     •    Advanced skill level in MS Excel 2010 essential
     •    Excellent time management skills essential
     •    Good documentation and writing skills essential
     •    Matric with Mathematics essential (preferably HG)
     •    Good working knowledge of MS Office 2010 (Word and PowerPoint) and Windows
     •    Good typing skills
     •    Good working knowledge of internet and MS Outlook
     •    Knowledge of IT concepts (networks, software etc.)
     •    Good telephone manner and communication skills
