Problem
Once GhostFill has been installed and Word is opened for the first time, the following errors occur:
The GhostFill toolbar and menu are not visible
GhostFill macros cannot be executed
Description
If the GhostFill toolbar and menu bar are not visible, and macros are not working correctly, it means the GhostFill*.dot template is not in Word's Startup folder.
Solution
Click here to view the solution.
Depending on the version of Microsoft Office you are currently using, the location of the Startup folder differs.
To locate the correct Startup folder from within Word:
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the File Locations tab. Click Startup in the box, and then click Modify to view the exact location.
Search for the GhostFill template in Windows Explorer. The name of the file differs depending on the version of GhostFIll you are using:
|
VERSION |
TEMPLATE |
|
GhostFill 4 |
GhostFill4.dot |
|
GhostFill 2001 |
GhostFill2001.dot |
|
GhostFill 2.5 |
GhostFill97.dot |
Copy the appropriate file into the Startup folder. When you reopen Word, the GhostFill toolbar and menu are visible.
