Senior Management Team

Peter’s involvement in software development since the early 1980s has encompassed a wide range of systems ranging from minicomputers to embedded processors and ultimately object-oriented development on the Windows platform. He is responsible for the overall running of the Software Production and Technical Operations divisions.

Since starting her career in 1983, Mari has obtained experience in several industries including Banking, Real Estate and various legal services. After obtaining her A+ and CNE certification in 1999, Mari joined Legal Interact and soon became the Product Manager for Indeed, one of the first conveyancing software programs in South Africa. She joined Korbitec in 2000 as Customer Relationship Manager and soon after became the Assistant Branch Manager in Johannesburg. Her thorough understanding of the conveyancing profession’s needs led to her appointment as Product Manager, and ultimately General Manager, for GhostConvey.

Colin has been in programming since 1977. Until he immigrated to South Africa, he worked for the Ministry of Defence in the United Kingdom. In 1983, he and Eddie Parker set up Videotex Gateway Systems, the forerunner of Parker Day & Associates, which they formed in 2000. Among their clients were Samcor, Nedcor, Engen and, latterly, the Deeds Office, for which they developed and maintained the ubiquitous AKTEX Deeds Enquiry System. Now General Manager of WinDeed, Colin brings his considerable expertise in deeds enquiries to the Korbitec team.

Christo qualified as a computer programmer in 1975 and continued on to head up the Home Loans Systems division in Nedcor IT. He went on to become the CEO of Comprehensive Property Services and later, Property & Loan Application Network (Planet) before joining Naspers where he started the internet businesses, News24.com and Property24.com.

JP joined Naspers in 2004 as General Manager of MWEB Studios. With the formation of 24.com, he was appointed General Manager and then CTO/COO before being appointed CEO. Prior to joining the Naspers group, JP was managing Director of iafrica.com. JP started his career as a software developer in the financial industry and has worked for the JHB Stock Exchange and Deutsche Bank London. JP is the founder of the Online Publishers Association and served on the Executive Committee as Head of Measurement for five years, from its inception until 2008. In this time he set up the Nielsen//Netratings system in South Africa. JP was the inaugural winner of the 2008 “Greatest Individual Contribution to New Media” Bookmarks Award. JP joined Korbitec as General Manager of Property24.com in 2010.

Ewald has been designing, writing and implementing software his whole life for an assortment of industries from frozen food to legal document automation. Since he joined Korbitec in 1999, he has led various teams and played instrumental roles in designing Korbitec’s solutions.

Theo was one of the founding members of Go Media, a digital media agency with an international network of clients that developed My Agent, a property portal focused on South African Estate Agents. He then joined Korbitec at the beginning of 2010 to manage Property24, the leading property website in South Africa. As an individual who has always been passionate about technology, he is feeling right at home working with some of the brightest minds in the property industry at Korbitec.

Leigh started her career in media but refined her interpersonal skills in the hospitality and tourism industry while working for Thompson’s Tours. On returning to the digital and media world, she joined Getaway Magazine as their digital editor, repositioning the Getaway.co.za brand as an online, one-stop travel resource and created a dynamic presence in the television, mobile, and social media spaces. Leigh joined Korbitec and the Property24.com team in 2010 to push the consumer brand to new heights with a strong focus on new-marketing, online brand building, PR and social media.

Annemarie brings invaluable experience in the property software solutions industry to her role as General Manager of Bank Solutions. Having graduated from UNISA with an Administrative Management Diploma and later obtaining Project Management, A+ and N+ certification, Annemarie worked in the management and implementation of several applications and solutions in the financial, property and technology industries, and joined Korbitec in 2007. Over her time at Korbitec, Annemarie has added to the company's drive to innovate and deliver quality products, and was appointed General Manager of Bank Solutions in January 2012.

With 15 years of involvement in the municipal industry, Cher brings experience and credibility to her role as the General Manager of Korbitec Municipal Services. She offers a thorough understanding of the Municipal Property Rates Act and an in-depth knowledge of municipal workflow and regulation, making it possible to successfully transform numerous Municipalities with the electronic rates clearance platform.

Louis is an admitted Attorney who initially joined Nedbank in 2002 in the Home Loans Legal Recoveries Department. After two-and-a-half years in Legal Recoveries, Louis was appointed to the Operations Management Team as one of the Heads of Operations, responsible for a number of projects ranging from the National Credit Act implementation to the first Retail Mortgage Bond Securitisation deal, Greenhouse. In 2007 Louis was asked to head up the Risk Analytics Department for Home Loans, a position he held until 2010 when he was approached and requested to move across to Nedbank Vehicle Asset Finance (MFC) to head up the Risk Analytics Team there. Louis joined Korbitec in January 2012 with the mandate to establish and grow the Financial Services Division.

Richard completed his LLB degree at the University of Port Elizabeth in 2001. After completing his articles at Spilkins Attorneys, he moved to Johannesburg in 2005 to pursue a career in the financial services industry with Rodel. Richard was responsible for the Sales and Marketing functions at Rodel with an emphasis on Bridging Finance in the property industry. Richard joined Korbitec in July 2012 and brings his considerable knowledge of the South African property industry to the Korbitec team.
